Houston Dynamo Acquire Fafa Picault from FC Dallas
The Houston Dynamo have completed a trade with FC Dallas, securing forward Fafa Picault in exchange for $275,000 in general allocation money. The payment structure includes $200,000 allocated for 2021 and $75,000 for 2022, in addition to performance-based incentives. This transaction was reported by sports journalists Lester Gretsch and Glenn Davis.
In the previous season with Dallas, Picault made 18 appearances, scoring three goals. Before joining FC Dallas, he played three seasons with the Philadelphia Union, where he netted 21 goals in 89 matches. Picault's career also includes stints in the NASL with the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Fort Lauderdale Strikers, as well as international experience with Sparta Prague and FC St. Pauli.
Of Haitian heritage, Picault has represented the US Men's National Team twice in 2016. With the departures of Mauro Manotas and Alberth Elis, he is expected to enhance the Dynamo's offensive lineup alongside players like Christian Ramirez, Darwin Quintero, and Ariel Lassiter.
